Medical doctor/author mashup. Gory tales of human bodies in history and dead king juice.
Books, TikToks, photographs and films.
My 365 is ending but we go again. This time each week will have a theme: a colour or number etc, I’ve yet to work that out. Now it’s less about doom scroll avoidance and more the creative fun. Oooh I have a new Nikon Z/RED collab coming, so hot it’s not yet off the press. *taps fingers impatiently*

In my happy place, doing a spot of research and drinking a lot of tea. I’m taking my next project to Hull where my Georgian medics deal with hardened whalers, terrifying press gangs, ruthless French pirates and some rather nasty cases of scurvy. ⚕️⚕️

Aberdeen’s Broad Street 19th century versus my view today. The buildings on the left were demolished to make way for the extension to Marischal College. It’s a stunning building but I liked the old college arch and shops (not that I remember them, don’t be cheeky!).

Off to the big city today. I’ve come to love it again since writing about it. Or maybe I love the Aberdeen of 200 years ago, the crumbling tenements and dark alleyways. Byron lived in the one with the turret. It’s not there now.

Christmas approaches folks. What better way to show someone you love them than with a book about death, diseases, body parts, poo, pus or snot?

Good morning. There’s been a 17°c swing here in 24 hours. Yesterday’s -11° sparkly frosty photos won’t be replicated today I’m afraid. 😆☔️

To my mother, Liz.
I made a terrible Doctor Mum.
People died.

Still going out in the morning to avoid the doom-scroll, coming home with a photo. I ended up in a graveyard.
Well, I didn’t actually *end up* there. Not yet.
