Biodiversity, community & kindness are real wealth. Economic growth is a suicide pact. Seeking humour while forever opposing disinformation, hate & ecocide.
I'm sure multitudes starving to death as extreme weather collapses all of our agriculture will feel much better when people stridently explain that we were "being realistic" and that we simply "had to be practical" by being complicit in committing civilizational suicide.

@elizabethemay.bsky.social should know perfectly well that the IPCC tells us meeting Paris Agreement targets is *impossible* with Carney's fossil fuel expansion Major Projects, no matter what empty promises he made.

This is an intense betrayal, a real gut punch.

Specific wording is vital in legal documents like laws. "Will" is a requirement. If a law says that a government "will" do a thing and they don't, they are in breach of the law and there may be consequences. If a law says that they "may," it's a voluntary suggestion without consequences. 🧵1/

Every single time you hear that we have to choose between the environment & the economy it's a lie. We protect both or we devastate both.

@mark-carney.bsky.social chooses devastate.

World Bank: Climate endangers $158 trillion dollars in global assets by 2050. 🧵1/

@mark-carney.bsky.social is a climate arsonist, determined to plunge the globe into a hothouse hellscape for millennia to come to benefit the very short term profits of primarily foreign fossil fuel investors, human civilization & climate science be damned.

It's villainous ecocide. 🧵1/

Pre-election Mark Carney might want to have a word with post-election @mark-carney.bsky.social.

How are liberal voters okay with this?

This is an astonishing reversal, with impacts on the quality of life for Canadians that will be generational & which promotes the growth of fascist movements. 🧵1/

Canada’s top 1% have $1.25 Trillion, more than Canada's poorest 80% combined. They get billions in new tax cuts.

Canada's poor have never been this vulnerable. For them, @mark-carney.bsky.social guts public services.

How does everyone feel about Mechahitler creating a personalized disinformation feed tailored for each & every user on his hellsite?

Bye bye heuristics, hello even more fascist normalization by any means possible.

In my experience, the more loudly someone calls themselves a "patriot," the more likely "HATEriot" would be a thousand percent more honest.

Of all the dumb bits of dishonest whataboutism die hard @mark-carney.bsky.social supporters hurl at me, by far the dumbest is a lazy presumption that if I directly cite IPCC science to demand better climate policy I must be a Poilievre supporter.

Because climate action is what cons are known for?

Postal banking couldn't possibly work to revive Canada Post. I mean, for goodness' sake, the idea has only been already proven successful in 60 other countries!

Would you have felt more comfortable if I had used this graphic instead with the same text content that was in that post?

A surprising amount of the policies we're getting from Carney are ones that were already in Poilievre's playbook, after all.

Carney also demands Palestinians "demilitarize," despite having no military. He insistis they remain incapable of ever defending themselves from Israeli aggression as a prerequisite for even a token gesture level of support.

Carney let a former Air Canada counsel deccree whether flight Air Canada flight attendants should be allowed to strike, & didn't even let them exercise their labour rights for a whole day before stomping on them.

There isn't even a Minister of Labour, for the first time in generations.

If you doubt what one of the country's preeminent privacy rights experts is warning us about, you can read the entire text of C-2 at this link to see how it can provide warrantless access to all kinds of private data, often without even keeping records of doing so.

A nation building project for you @mark-carney.bsky.social

A national post office has been considered one of the most fundamental nation building projects for centuries.

Killing #CanadaPost will enrich private profiteers, but definitely hurt the country. 🧵 1/

Cons target immigrant rights, labour rights, indigenous rights, privacy rights. So do the libs.

Cons promote massive fossil fuel expansion, climate warnings be damned. So do the libs.

Cons serve the wealthy first. So do libs. Cons support war crimes in the Middle East. So do libs.

Need evidence?

I thought I'd compile the basic content of your post, and the various additions in this thread, together into a graphic for convenient future use, and I'd like to welcome you to make use of it as much as you please.

The guy who lost the election isn't who you need to focus on. Holding the people who won the election to account is the vital requirement. So why are you constantly talking about the loser without mentioning that the winner's delivering the same policies?
