Wenn man wirklich die Universitäten nachhaltig schützen will vor politischen Einflussnahmen, dann braucht es dringend sehr viel mehr Dauerstellen. Das ist der beste Schutz der Wissenschaftsfreiheit und auch der Uni als kritischem Ort. Ich denke, genau deshalb gibt es diese Dauerstellen kaum

Our paper @sarabogels.bsky.social covering our pre-registered multi-year research is now finally out in Cognition. We show that in conversations people reduce their multimodal signals non-linearly; the steeper this non-linear drop-off the more communicative success.

Always shocking to see these kinds of data collected together. "[publishers made]US$12 billion in profits between 2019 and 2024" - That's $12 billion diverted away from actual research or materially supporting the community - these are disgusting numbers.
