It's mindblowing what they're having to do there - retrieve radioactive waste from giant concrete silos that were never designed to be emptied. This one was built in the 50s. Retrievals started in 2023.

Went to Sellafield to look at how robots - including those mad dogs - are increasingly joining the nuclear decommissioning race. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11...

Here’s Jim trying his bionic arm after connecting it to the titanium implant for the first time. He twitches the muscles in his stump to control its motors

I first talked to Jim four years ago, not long after he’d lost his arm. He’d worked in prosthetics and orthotics for 20+ years. He wanted to connect a bionic arm via a titanium implant that is dividing surgeons and the NHS. Wrote about it for Guardian Saturday: www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

Oh maybe there’s a nice piece to be written, you think, about whichever avuncular genius decided to rebrand brine shrimp as Sea Monkeys, turning them into millions of kids’ first pet (including mine)

Late sharing this but I met an amazing runner recently who used to be in King Crimson and is now breaking national age records aged 80. That's a current picture of him. Couldn't believe the shape he's in. www.thetimes.com/life-style/h...

From Tulip Siddiq's fist national media interview, with me, in 2016. That shadow has turned out to be a little more complicated... (she's just resigned as a minister) www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...
