How long do you think it will take for 1. detail of Trump's mentions in the Epstein files to emerge 2. grocery prices to increase by a further 25% 3. energy prices to double and 4. the US power grid to collapse at the height of winter?

I bet that the Pope is infinitely more comfortable with the Jewish Pritzker who has strongly pushed back against immigration raids and seeks to find ways for the State of Illinois to compensate for federal cuts to medical care than with the "Christian" Trump.

Larry Summers was forced out as President of Harvard for remarking that the reason there were so few women in the sciences might be because they lacked the necessary aptitude. It should surprise no one that he has turned out to be a close associate of a notorious sexual abuser.

He certainly won't be able to deliver quickly, but it would be great if priorities in the city paid more attention to the interests of those who have less.

Attention to the stars in ancient Mesopotamia encompassed both elements of astronomy (observation of celestial phenomena) and astrology (predictions about the future). The culture was obsessed with omens; some of the elaborate systems of predictions almost seem like a form of logic.

Had my flu shot about 10 days ago and plan to get a COVID booster next week. Here in the US, I am no longer sure of continued vaccine availability, although as a senior with a medical condition, I am more likely than most in the current public health climate to be able to do so. No thanks, RFK Jr.
