Governance and Relationality in Indigenous Fisheries FISH506i/EOSC 448 Co-taught by Dr. Andrea Reid and Dr. Kii'iljuus Barbara Wilson. 3-credit in person course May 5 - 16, 2025 on Haida Gwaii (travel costs covered) Course fees covered according to need. A collaboration between the Haida Gwaii Institute and the UBC Centre for Indigenous Fisheries. Co-created with community members and organizations from UBC and the Haida Nation, this in-person course will focus on Indigenous methodologies and practices as they pertain to Indigenous fisheries and aquatic ecosystems, and, critically, their care and maintenance in the truly long term. We will prioritize Indigenous applicants living in British Columbia and are open to all levels of learning (undergrad, grad, and non-degree learners).
