1) I always questioned genre and the strictness it may sometimes attract. But I never considered the insistence on certain boundaries to cause as much harm as loosing them altogether.
I definitely agree that is can exclude the messier, stranger, and more marginalized voices!

This may be a cheat, but through the first part of the narrative there were bits and pieces of background sounds. Giggles or a slam… but after it was just plain music, but the music put me on edge. The words about the rabbit story, but the music was striking—off in some way.

I started pushing myself away from the computer when she talked about the flip. Talking about how it can’t be that hard… I knew something was coming but I audibly gasped when the thump played coupled w the matter of fact tone. #hwa3 #sampling I was born the year his song came out, so I have no clue if Kanye even acknowledged the sampling. Some people may pick up on it, some may not. It feels like keeping up a tradition of taking something of the past to rework it to the contemporary (which Ray Charles also seemed to do).

For me, its not a matter of being “real” as in, “true?” The original painting was Napoleon, yes, but Wiley’s version is just as true given the perspective and intent. Seating a black man in power isn’t about erasing Napoleon, but rather giving him a long withheld potential. #hwa3 #napoleon

I feel a sense of defiance & power. It is likely due to the inherent negative associations of streetwear and black culture, stemming from a non-poc audience. This man, proudly wears these clothes anyway, sitting on a horse a well-known white man once sat, with pure confidence. #hwa3 #feelingform

I started with prompt C, but it started to feel like therapy on childhood trauma. Much like Joe warned, if you say not to act like a therapist, GPT may do so anyway. So, I switched to prompt B, but it wasn’t until after /I/ stopped playing safe that things turned interesting.
