They’re adding extra pages/bits for more context (after polling everyone asking if it was needed and people saying no) which is tbh making it worse too because the 5 year old pages vs the added ones mean that once they’re done adding things they’ll have to redo the rest of them.

I’m dealing with a favorite comic doing that right now and it means all their other projects got put on hold and it’s tbh been incredibly annoying as a patron, so I appreciate your strength!

Marxism isn’t even true socialism. It’s just a recognizable brand that people with half of a political education can use as a call sign to indicate they’re cool and know what they’re talking about. It’s a philosophy that predates the internet. Modernize.

Additionally if you’re comparing a country with the population of a single state to the USA (or any other country) you don’t have an understanding of how mass populations impact the effectiveness of political policy.

It 100% is, there’s a reason so many tankies age out of their Maoism and Marxism and it’s because that’s easier and easier to see the more you’re in those spaces. Fueled by fear and distrust. There’s stuff to learn from the philosophy but it is not a viable form of governance.

I may be one of the people who “play stories” but like… from my perspective people who play MMOs or anything that allows PVP have forgotten that most games are just games you play alone and a lot of people ARE playing games they just don’t like having other people interact.

The Celts were a huge population! A lot of Europe would have been Celtic in some way. I spend so much time reminding people that Celtic cultures are huge and diverse and don’t involve a central belief system or language! “Celtic” paganism that’s really meaning to be Irish is such a problem.

I have a friend who’s super into Iberian recon paganism and I’ve gotten to learn so much from them! But largely I’ve learned how HARD it is to reconnect with! Mainland Europe really got just culturally erased between Romans and Christians! It’s a good thing to make an effort towards.

From my Irish recon perspective I’d always say to just use the Irish word since the spelling rules don’t translate well (it being an M sound makes it a different word more or less), but it’s a cool thing to make an effort to do! I’m going to read about Magosto I hadn’t heard of it!

I’m curious how you pronounce Samaín in Spanish without the lenited m! In Irish it’s saw-wen but I feel like that spelling in a Latin based language is actually the hard M most people think is in the Irish Samhain.
