In this season of gratitude, may we hold our loved ones close and keep in our hearts those who cannot be with theirs. Let’s continue building a more supportive and connected region together.

We can act now by diverting wastewater away from the river and expanding local air-quality monitoring. But lasting solutions will require strong binational cooperation, stronger oversight, and upstream infrastructure that stops pollution at the source.

I had the privilege of meeting these emerging leaders to hear their youth-led solutions firsthand and discuss how my office and the County can help turn their ideas into action.

During #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, I’m proud to proclaim today as “One World Bridge Day” and congratulate Executive Director J.L. Jackson, Marc Chavez, and the young leaders whose stewardship, ocean-centered cultural leadership, and community impact continue to inspire San Diego County.

That is why I voted in support of @suplawsonremer.bsky.social’s Board action to allow San Diego County to join a court brief defending these clinics and protecting access to care for our residents.

I’ve seen firsthand the dedication family caregivers bring to their loved ones, and I extend my congratulations and gratitude to Executive Vice President Martha Rañon and the entire SCRC team for their extraordinary leadership, advocacy, and commitment to San Diego families.
