Just finished this week’s STA episode. What a wonderful tribute to DS9, Capt. Sisko, and Avery Brooks. I know they are playing to the fans but I feel like we needed that. Also, I guess Dax is immortal and related to Mariner? 🖖🏼

I love whoever came up with the war college idea in Starfleet Academy. Frankly I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner after the Borg and then the Dominion war which the Federation almost lost if not for the prophets. Even so, the galaxy after the burn is not a friendly one.

After all the chatter about the Cheron in Starfleet Academy, I went back and watched the TOS episode again and there was so much I had forgotten. Let’s see:
1. They were definitely space faring and didn’t exist just on one planet. There is a reference to battles on other planets.

I finally got around to watching Starfleet Academy. Overall I like it and had fun watching it. There are a couple things that seem to be done poorly/rushed/lazy writing. Other things I love. It feels like Star Trek to me and like Leonard Nimoy said, I wonder where Star Trek is going to take me now?🖖🏼

I had a big ole Cooper’s Hawk on the branch out side my home office this morning. A squirrel briefly got on the same branch and sniffed around but then left in a hurry. The hawk never moved when the squirrel came along. Must be full today. 🦅

Once in a while I go to Philadelphia on business and I’m on a mission to find my favorite cheesesteak. On the advice of a local I tried “Steve’s Prince of Steaks” this time. It was really good. Tied for my favorite so far with Pat’s. Great bread, tender steak, liquid American cheese. Recommended!

I feel like this precedent was set a long time ago with Panama and Noriega. Seeing as how this guy came out and said he was making every effort to harm the American people, I’m not upset about it. Even though I’m not a Trump fan.
