The first ship to feature was the Pioneer Refit, since people had been asking for it for a long time, and I wanted to use its similarities to the Constitution to do a bit of a head fake by teasing bits of the ship before doing a full reveal. Of course, also inspired by TMP drydock sequence.

At 2:03 of the NYCC Starfleet Academy trailer, you see a battle with some ships - at least a couple of them are Klingon ships that were originally designed for Star Trek Online. The big ship is the QeHpu' Advanced Light Battlecruiser and the little circled one is the M'Chla Bird-of-Prey Refit.
