Honestly I grew up in the boonies, too, and I've lived in the city for ....25 years now. I still hate it and I still can't stand the noise. So I totally get it.

I have 12 of those at any given time screaming at each other, the leaf blower is background ambiance next to the neighbor who revs his bike for 45 minutes.

I'm at lake Winnebago and I can tell you, just from our own little pond of a lake, the Greats are already fucked thanks to toxic algae blooms from heat. Not thrilled.

The one's up here just make one "/tick/" sound then stop, then do it again, then stop. With like, 2 minutes between each. It's so vastly different.

In our case I'll be thankful for my neighbor having a snowplow attached to his vehicle because we share a driveway and he'll be clearing it for us, lol.
