I watched it a couple of years ago and it reignited all the trauma. It's still depressing AF (though maybe not as bad as On The Beach). Pretty sure this film and the nuke ones they showed us in grade school were sponsored by the psychologist lobby.

Yeah it's pretty transparent. Kaine took the vote instead of Warner, for example. It's an extra 4 years for us to "forget"...which I, at least, won't.
