I just don't understand why they're only asking for a credit card when there are other ways to verify your age. I don't need, nor do I want a credit card, so now I can't buy R18 games if I want to. I'm 35 years old and I feel like I'm being treated like a damn child lol 😭

It doesn't have to be a credit card, I don't know why it says that. A debit card works.

I get that, but then some could argue why should there be nuance around discussing a tool that plagiarises, kills jobs, produces shoddy work or flat out wrong information, damages the planet and more

Not saying there can't be, but there are many good reasons why people are so vehemently against it.

You start using gen AI for those small parts it makes it harder for future VAs to get their foot in the door and prove themselves and stops potential award winning careers.

I'm not saying there isn't a place for AI in other fields but I think it's a garbage thing to use in the creative field.

Then there's the devs that will and do use it for small voice lines for side characters etc. Jennifer English, like most other VAs got her start doing those small lines for multiple characters and has now went on to win awards.

Because it is a problem. It's a slippery slope. Concept art and the evolution of the creative process is cool to see and I don't want to see talented artists lose jobs in favour of AI slop. Lorem Ipsum already exists for placeholder text so gen AI isn't necessary for that.
