I see that as Rafayel being more *secretive* than Sylus. In terms of morality, they both only kill people who had it coming.

Fellow criminals in the N109 Zone for Sylus and people who exploit the Lemurians for Rafayel. The most morally gray thing I've seen Rafayel do is leave MC in open water.

Also, you can't tell me Caleb isn't supposed to be naked with the apron in the Kindled. MC apparently slept on his clothes and she *really* wanted him to take the apron off, so Caleb wearing pants has to be a censorship thing. XD

It's hard to tell with Caleb for me. If they really didn't do anything in No Return Night, it would explain why he talks as if they haven't slept together yet in Passionate Overload.

But then, what *did* they do "over and over again" until the morning after? Did PO happen before NRN?

I saw a YouTube comment that said, if Caleb had scratches on his back, they would've went feral. After all the bites and hickeys, I don't blame them. XD

Also, I always saw No Return Night as his Nightly Rendezvous card. It's not the exact same, but it's still their first time, right?

Alternative Darkborne is basically one giant foreshadow to Crimson Spirit. XD

Xavier lures MC in, Zayne gets ambushed by her, Rafayel keeps retaliating against her, and Sylus knows *exactly* what they both want. I have no clue if Caleb has either of these Secret Times, but if he doesn't, that goes back to what you said about some LIs not having as much material as the others.

Xavier starts innocent but shows his more devious side later, Zayne is his usual doctor self, Rafayel admits he doesn’t know what to do, and Sylus wears his deviousness on his sleeve. There's also the "I missed you, let's fuck" Secret Times.

That said, the similar story beats can lead to showing how different the boys are to each other. I think the period Secret Times are a good example.

MC's cramping, the LI finds her, lays her down, gives her tea, and massages her. That's the basic summary but each LI is a bit different about it.

Xavier and Rafayel go full Yandere and hold MC captive, and Zayne and Caleb regret what they did, disappear, and never come back (though Caleb promises he will one day). Sylus is the only one who stands out by almost killing MC and needing to be put down like a rabid animal.

And yeah, I see what you mean about how the cards might feel same-y if they had the same story beats. With TC22, you have the LI leading a group of Praedators, the LI going into a frenzy in the Kindled, and even the bad endings.

Virtually all of them has him pouncing on MC or strongly hinting that he wants to, even in Exclusive Care when she's on her period. Personally, I always saw moments like Sacred Bliss as the Aether Core amplifying Sylus' horniness; basically a feedback loop of desire he holds back for MC's sake.

Plus, it looks like MC's out of breath when she calls Sylus annoying and her narration mentions him being sweaty. So yeah, he's probably inside her at that point. XD

I know Zayne is usually seen as the most DTF one, but I think Sylus is at least tied with him. Just look at his Secret Times.

I just didn't know what the noise could be since, after the fact, Sylus asks for consent a second time and MC mentions the boundaries of their territories merging. But you hear that same noise twice in Misty Silhouette: once when Xavier enters MC and once when he finishes.
