I like to celebrate #Thanksgiving. It's a nod to my late Dad who once stood in the wings watching his father on stage in New York. And with thanks to @nypl.bsky.social who turned round my enquiry about my grandfather within a day, sharing this.
Librarians everywhere are amazing. @cilip.bsky.social

Weekend reading! I love to pair books. Found Hepburn's 'The Making of the African Queen' in a charity shop. Went on to read the Macmillan version of the novel. Just finished the fascinating Afterward by Giles Foden.
Next it's 'Burma Sahib' by Paul Theroux and on to Orwell's 'Burmese Days'.

200 books in an alcove under a stairwell do not a Library make.
School librarians equip children with the literacy skills to learn, relax & find information we need for fulfilled lives & to be informed citizens.
Every child deserves a Great School Library.

How can we uncover the knowledge that individuals hold?
What did we mean by 'knowledge mobilisation?'
