Lockdown suffering isnt a rewrite of history, it is so many people's history. And to deny it makes you as bad as those who deny Covid, the infection, could kill.
I even wrote a book about this for catharsis and to try and present a different side. Sold about 1000 copies.

Well this is a new one.
An email purporting to be from my company (of whom I am the only shareholder) to myself notifying me of a payrise and undoubtedly targeting my staff in order to rob them.
Changing the sender's name to my company's makes it feel much more personal. C**ts.

Im so confused by her letter: these are the basic pay scales, ie minimum, and they are in the working time directive. Was she part time?
People justifiably talk about lawyers and bankers, but they're outliers, work much longer hours and have a much less rewarding job.

Reading the Chinese spying piece in the Times brought this exchange to mind. This was last week on LinkedIn.
1) why would i have an unpaid intern? It's immoral.
2) why would i want to give remote access to my entire patient database to someone who wasn't working for me & had signed the GDPR stuff?

Interesting this.
In Paris, they put the art drawn on screens on to be displayed on screens. And it was mesmerising..

What’s so great is that the food is so uniformally great. (If you avoid fritto misto on a Monday in the hotel.. oops)
These were on nobody’s recommendations. But amazing. And a short walk along the beach.

I paid for my own DEXA scan.
Unable to take systemic HRT (without awful side effects) I was concerned about fragility fractures. I am armed with the information i need to make the right health choices going forwards, and I’ll recheck in 5 years.

Evo menos.? I was in Bolivia when Evo Morales was elected president. Everywhere there were flags and banners proclaiming ‘Evo Mas’ with a great groundswell of feeling that someone finally cared about the indigenous population and the environment.

Tutti la vita e dolci.
Double runner’s high (didn’t have to wait for the endocannabinoids today) and breakfast.
Beautiful, beautiful Sicily.

Saw a training session last year. The only time in my life I’ve ever felt skinny.

Kids with spiky profiles (ie really good in some areas and poor in others) are chucked out of school if they don’t pass a Maths and English test under exam conditions that don’t favour them.
It doesn’t matter how brilliant and talented they are in subjects they’d take at A level, they’re out.

‘Born without biological mothers’.
Really?
Whilst the baby would not carry the mother’s genes, the environment they grow in has as much influence as their genes do. the stresses, the food, the exercise: all that has an effect.
Or maybe I’m uncomfortable with women as empty, unimportant vessels.

Very cool.
In the rehearsal room at the Old Vic for a Q&A with the set and costume designers for Mary Page Marlowe.
I love the mini sets: impressive to put an old proscenium arch theatre into the round.

It is quite an extraordinary feat to publish a review of a play without once mentioning the name of it.
