I begged a friend who claimed to be a prolific crocheter to teach me how to crochet and then coach me through this shawl. She said no.

I’ve learned almost everything I know that is complex in knitting from YouTube videos. And of course I have a ton of yarn so I think I may just do that!

So the next morning, I quadrupled the recipe and made a big one in my large crockpot. I ended up getting five votes in the chili contest, and it generated a huge argument between the guys, one entrant, demanding my five votes be rescinded and awarded to actual chilies. Cry harder.

The first time I made a soufflé, it was totally by accident. I was making bread pudding in my crockpot as a dessert for a chili cook off in my office. I did a small experimental one the day before and noticed that it rose & puffed up just like a soufflé. We ate the test straight out of the crockpot.
