Not sure if life is passing me by or trying to run me over...
Things will only really change when a majority of the American people have had enough. The only questions are: What will it take, what’s the last straw? Will change come via systemic reform or, a violent backlash???

"Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? Let history answer this question." --Thomas Jefferson

Where are all the social justice warriors who shut down campuses over Gaza last year, but seem to be giving Trump a pass when he stabs our democratic allies in the back and sides with Putin?

I’m finding it darkly comical that a man who pockets tens of millions of dollars annually of our tax dollars is targeting those who make $65,000 annually in the name of cutting taxes…

Personally, I don’t have much faith in politicians in general, to stop Trump. Most drink from the same fountain of money and influence. I believe it’s going to fall on the bulwark of the courts and our system of Federalism to thwart this extra-constitutional threat…

I don’t know what bothers me more: that Elon Musk is running roughshod over our Gub’mint, or that fact that few seem to give a f*ck…

MAGA: the 'amoral majority'...
February 1, 2025 at 9:35 PM
From 1917 to the end of WW II, American families regularly planted gardens; by 1944, about 20 million gardens produced roughly 8 million tons of food — roughly 40% of all the fresh fruits and vegetables consumed in the U.S.

Given the price of groceries, it’s an idea worth revisiting...

Thinking about my years spent working in Silicon Valley, it occurred to me that what is currently going on in our Gub’mint is exactly what happens after one company takes over another. They clean house, put loyalists in charge, revamp policy, etc..

And, if you don’t like it... There’s the door!

Since tariffs are a tax on U.S. importers, why do we permit the President to impose them unilaterally without authorization from Congress?

So many evil politicians, billionaires and oligarchs are in their 70’s and 80’s.

You just gotta stay alive for another decade so you can watch them all pass away.

Donald Trump is right abouta few things things. He’s accurately identified problems on issues like inflation, the border and the fallout from cultural condescension. But when it comes to building structures to address those problems — well... The man is just hapless and incompetent.

Trump’s Immigration Raids Now Targeting… Native Americans?

Nothing says “protecting the border” like detaining Indigenous people and demanding proof of citizenship. At least 15 Native Americans in NM and AZ have been questioned or detained. This is what happens when quotas matter more than justice.

Our economy is far larger than it was decades ago.

Where have most of the gains gone? To the top.

Any path forward must include a fight to restructure the economy toward more widely shared prosperity.

This isn’t a blue state vs. red state phenomenon. It’s a class phenomenon.
