students returning to campus from the downtown bars; students leaving rental properties trashed. UMass gave lip service to policies prohibiting such behavior, but rarely did anything to stop it in my day ('80s/'90s). It's left a ton of residual resentment against the UMass student body by locals.

There's a palm tree near my house that for a couple of years hosted an owl pair raising owlets. It was super fun watching them grow.

It's not working fine. It's been relentlessly sabotaged since Trump I. Half my packages get within 10 miles of me (in CA), then go haring across the map to North Carolina or Hawaii.
