Southampton FC, cybersecurity, politics, and a whole load of other things.
It’s one thing going to Hull and getting bullied, maybe I’ll understand. But getting out worked and out fought by a crap Norwich? It was embarrassing, and agreed they deserved it.

He’s right, but again, it’s Norwich, it’s hardly the lions den. Shows how fragile this team are, Oriel has a lot of work to do!

One of the reasons we’ve improved is being brave on the ball, but that is the first thing to go on days like this.

When you get bullied out by Norwich, you’re in trouble. Absolute garbage today.

Oh blimey, did not know that. Linehan and his lot are so evil and nasty, I can’t imagine being with someone like that.

Hopefully Brian can stand up to them, will be a bigger challenge if one of their bigger stands makes it hard.

Gutted to read this Robin, I’ve been listener from the start and it’s a truly magical program. The relationship between you and Brian is a joyful wonder. I applaud your stand, it’s a brave one and we need more people like you.

The first step is no political donations, no second jobs, public funding for parties. That’s not impossible.

Then Proportional Representation so every vote counts, a tougher ambition but still should be achievable.

The biggest win, that’s insanely hard, is ignoring the bonkers rightwing press.

I truly hope some of them do.. but suspect they’re in short supply. The reality is you need that conviction, plus charisma to break through in modern politics. And all of that talent (or at least the necessary confidence) has ended up in the wrong hands.

For the first time I can recall, even swearing doesn’t really sum up the utter bewilderment and incomprehension I’m feeling.

It makes you wonder what would have happened with a normal person in charge, Christ even Cameron, and a “war” government with cross party experts that delivered change. And we realised that was possible, and could stay.

Surely some of these people still remember why they got into politics?
December 12, 2025 at 10:40 PM
It showed huge changes truly were possible, and that was without proper cross-party government which (if we’d had a leader not a clown in charge) could have been even more transformational.

No one seems to ask we can’t be like that again.
December 12, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Ok, need to get on this soon. Looks proper bonkers.
December 10, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Just looked… 😳 Definitely will need to watch that!
December 10, 2025 at 9:09 PM
We all need this!

If it makes it look good, better than most AI to be fair.

Rio the most likeable one there, too. Comes across as most informed too, meaning they’ve got pretty impressive behind behind the scenes…
December 5, 2025 at 7:09 PM
You’re right - we know the club owners have our best interests at heart, and after all, we’re only fans! What do we know…

Almost as if there’s an argument for some form of independent regulator with an enhanced remit when the authorities fail so badly.

I’m an atheist, but it’s a fascinating topic and definitely worth looking at further. The difference with the women’s game is an interesting one too. Football is a complex mix of community, but also huge commercialism.

Iain Dowie and Paul Moody together at Southampton, early 90’s. That was quite the partnership.
