I like how the map distinguishes between 'travelator' and 'proposed travelator' like the Oxford Road – St Peter's Square travelator was already in place for people who really needed to get to the Central Library in a hurry.

A nice bit of presumably 1970's design. The book is Colin Ward and Anthony Fyson's Streetwork: The Exploding School written in capacity as the education officers for The Town & Country Planning Association. All very much of the era.
