That's good it's you and not your dad. it gives you more control. Difficult to balance when you don't want to upset but he wont accept there are problems with your mum.

I glad you are your siblings are all on the same side, that helps. We ended up as a "family in crisis" by the Hospital Social Worker. That triggered a space. It really shouldn't have to be like this. Has your dad got POA for your mum?

My mum always said she wouldn't do this when she was in her 50's and 60's. Times change for them and us, so difficult.

A close friend who had to deal with this with her dad . She said "I love him dearly but sometimes I feel like trying to I'm trying to make a deal with a 83 year old toddler" It's difficult and sad ☹️

I'm so sorry to hear this. Have recently had a lot of problems with mum. She is in care now but it was a total battle with Mum/ public and private service providers. Mum is canny and stubborn and has capacity . She currently has to pay. She was up to 4 carers a day at home but not coping. It's hard.

A friend was a good tribute singer at the time. I asked why she never did this one. Her reply. You know when it gets to that line which is spoken rather than sung. It just isn't the same in a full on black Country accent 😂

Sorry I win. i just a bus back and a bloke stood up a the front preaching the lord very loudly all the way back. One other passenger did stand up to him and tell him to shut it but he didn't. I now have a headache.

Not sure about these day time drinking do's. In a previous job it started at 12:30, bar shut at 18:00. There were a few incidences over the years. mine was too much wine and sobbing loudly in the loo as manager had chosen that day to tell me that i was not getting a promotion. 1/2
