When drawing for myself I love digging in old scandinavian folklore.
This fellow is known as Nøkken.
Lives near watery areas, plays the fiddle masterfully, grants wishes and drowns people once in a while.
Not entirely friendly, but not entirely hostile either if you bring sacrifices!

As a child my mother told me that an old bog hag was brewing in the fields when there were mists hanging just above ground level.
Locally she's known as the "Mosekone".
I think nearly everybody here in Denmark has heard of her but don't know how well known the tale is abroad though?
