A riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a yorkshire pudding.
I was going to mention that but others beat me to it. It's the bit where you go, okay there's no chance this is just them seeing a random issue of Brave and the Bold in a doctors' waiting room. Andrew Marshall co-writer is clearly a fan too.

Yes, very odd to constantly tell us there's no money to help anyone, but then happy to waste public money on something that isn't needed.

In Whoops Apocalypse there's a Jay Garrick so I'd say yes.

This is definitely one of my favourite Connery episodes. And the one I was thinking of, when I suggested maybe Connery acted awkward around Marion at the start because they were leading to this. (Still not convinced myself by that though!)

Why is Black Friday a month long?

There's something funny about bringing Susan back, overwriting that she's from his future and then to excise the bits that would have made that make sense and effectively making her impossible to bring back for now.

Have a feeling I was similar. Feels like exactly the right age!

Take care, Lew.

Louis Cha's Legends of the Condor Heroes is set in the time of Genghis Khan so there must be a historical connection of Khan with condors.

Having to put aside my "mate of alex wins" reservations because it was all very enjoyable.

Now it's just tears in the rain.

If I didn't have both already! Heartily recommend these as a great, mature take on superheroes, with more than a little bit of politics thrown in.

Intending to order shortly, sounds great!

I love all of these, absolutely stellar picks. Hoped Marini doing that Batman book might have led to more readily available translations of his work in English.

I like "I didn't grow out of it because I didn't get the chance" as I feel that applies to me too!

Will be very interested in your thoughts on this one as it's popped up a few times in recommendations but I haven't seen any discussion of it yet.

Wonder if that was in the contract, "wife must appear in adaptation".

This is it. Even if Piper isn't available at the time filming picks up again, she doesn't need to be, and in some ways it would force a narrative gap, similar to McGann not regenerating into Chris for people to speculate about.

Not that I'm aware, but Knights of Pendragon from Marvel in the 90s does have the Green Knight as a chthonic ecological avenging force.

Isn't that kind of what happened with Picard S2? Pandemic meant they couldn't easily build sets, so half the season set in the very near future. But as others have pointed out, yeah police procedural episodes!

The Doctor has multiple pasts, partially due to his own meddling, so Hurdnall isn't playing the offbrand version of Hartnell, he's an entirely different first Doctor, and the Eleventh Doctor ends up with Time Lord dementia as a result, hence why he doesn't know how to pronounce Metebelis.
