Sometimes I want our games to be financial successes just so that we can throw support to projects like Godot and plug-in authors like these.

It was made by fbcosentino (not on Blue Sky?), and works wonders. It was so easy to implement and start customizing.
The number and variety of examples was unlike any others I tested.
The nodes and options available are everything and more we wanted.

I cannot recommend it enough.

Right there with you lamenting a potential death of stack overflow. Its helped me so much with web development and development with Unity.

Only tangentially related, but I was also ranted with my partner how many communities are asking questions and sharing expertise on Discord which is locked away

Anyway, I use VScodium now and its great. I also use Godot which has its own IDE purpose-built for GDScript which also works great.

So, even the coders can avoid AI, its proven to slow developers down, after all!

I stopped using VScode because of their annoying insertion of AI autofill. When I was wrapping up development on JTL I was so pissed when the intellisense was suddenly working again (.net I was using was discontinued and VScode auto updated!), except it wasnt, it was that garbage.

Having the option to peek around a corner while prone has delightfully upsetting clastrophobic implications.

It all looks really smooth! Very nice

I WISH.

Anyway, thanks very much for sharing these. We've only released to Itch so far, but it sounds like if we really want any hope of getting our games actually seen and played that'll have to be different next time.

When that day comes, I'll try to share something like this, too!

I'm sometimes haunted by the words of a dev they posted on Reddit probably around a decade ago about a game they made about a decade prior that. That, after making a well-polished game (games?) as a solo dev they grossed about 100k, and "now" (10+ years ago) you should expect/shoot about twice that.

That does look really charming.

These might not look like the kind of features a dev with a history and roadmap of horror games would be interested in, but consider the possibilities!
