As enjoyable as Scotland’s win over Denmark was, do you think their achievement is somewhat tarnished by those cheap looking t-shirts they had to put on at the end? They looked proper dodgy market stall quality.

With shorts getting shorter and players wearing their socks higher and higher over their knees, can you envisage a time in the future where you’ll see a PL player wearing a suspender belt instead of shorts with the little straps holding up the thigh high socks? Great for movement.

I’m cautiously optimistic. It makes a pleasant change to the dread I felt before Stevenage, Donny and Blackpool. I still think the whole team’s outlook depends on whether our strikers decide to score from open play for once.
