The little note about Reform at the end there is fascinating. Economists literally backing fascism in an attempt to block economic justice.
Reform UK has begun to take note of economists’ concerns. It recently ripped up its tax-cutting plans — what it had categorized as its “contract with the people” — and said it would first prioritize spending cuts. That seemed to be a nod to the likes of French and the IFS, who had repeatedly said Reform’s numbers didn’t add up. Still, Farage’s party has some way to go before economists are convinced that it can make the savings it needs to balance its books. “I’m engaging with Reform at the moment quite a lot because they look like they want to have a grown-up conversation about their economic policies, financial services,” French said. “If the Greens want to do the same, I have no dog in the fight.”

Anyway: TERFs are scientifically illiterate, ideologically hidebound idiots who have somehow captured our media and political elites, but it doesn't matter how loud they shout: reality stubbornly does not conform to their bullshit.
