Did Chalk explain why he didn’t make the reforms he claims he would like when he was in a potto?

I suspect the useful conclusions to be drawn in that graph need a lot more teasing out. Married status, kids, parents alive, highest education level. And so on

Gibb probably wrote that line!

Had long discussions with doctor a few yrs ago when had annual medical about doing blood test check for prostate cancer. Decided against it due to very high false positive rate leading to unnecessary invasive intervention. Far better to monitor changes myself.

Sorry Sooz, my bad. I honestly thought you wanted to end him. I’ll call off the dogs

Up there with Nick Skelton winning individual gold in Rio. Kelly Holmes and that curtailed celebration. All our sports stars are amazing
November 27, 2025 at 5:56 PM
He’s a legend. Even now I can’t believe the feeling when he won a
Gold medal on the floor and then won another half an hour later. For 50 yrs of my life we’d barely had gymnasts in the finals. His legacy cannot be tarnished.

Probably fewer people whose surnames start with W!

Don’t think so. We’re still in purdah aren’t we?!

When the taxman took 40% of my parents estate that qualified I didn’t feel like I’d lost anything as it was never “mine”. But I understand that taxes & behaviour are important!

Re 1. This was very cynical of Hunt. He must have known IHT by non-doms would be easily avoided (else he’d have made sure that loop hole were closed) so the policy was never intended to bring in tax take. Rather it was just made for political gain. Oh. And the children aren’t “losing” anything.

Maybe it’s just me but I think what’s truly absurd is striking your team mate in the face!
November 24, 2025 at 9:32 PM
You can certainly look Farage’s adviser in the eye next time you talk and demand to know why he lied to your face when you asked about that abuse.
November 24, 2025 at 8:45 PM
Do they know YOUR dog then?!
November 20, 2025 at 10:52 AM
I dare you to record it and then play it back to him next time he does it. Obviously heavily amplified and repeated for maximum effect!

There’s very little likelihood of the Donald Rumsfeld defence with the indiscriminate bombing of small boats in international waters.

I am very confident our agile law makers and very competent council cohort are already on top of this and will ensure adequate controls are in place well before this becomes a problem.

Nice work!
As above would be interesting to have a retired or income from non employment sources. Tbh The Scottish graph is basically the same as the rest of the UK with a couple of extra teeth.

If I was Auntie I’d be updating that Panorama to include both speeches in full detailing exact timing and re-releasing without geo block.

As a journalist you might like to have pointed out that BBC News IS available free to air all over the USA and there is a Subscription based service for 24/7 BBC News coverage (amongst other things I expect).
It also does have a growing audience from the very basic research I did.

Yes. The SM views are also SUPPLY side. They are the published views of the SM companies despite their protestations that they aren’t publishers. They are

I disagree a) The elected Trust board are entitled to design the voting system how they wish and as you point out if members didn’t like it there’d be consequences and b) Restore would almost certainly have no qualms designing a voting system to benefit them if needed!

bsky.app/profile/sund...
A majority of those voting used a "quick vote" option to endorse the Trustees recommendations

Restore Trust complain that this rigs/tilts it against them. It is a reasonable point, re process, but this status quo tactic would fail if a majority of members voting were not content with the status quo

X have legal representatives in the U.K. Have the police interviewed any of them? If not why not? Have ministers signalled they’ll be supported if they do?
At this point I really think the ball is in the government’s court.
November 7, 2025 at 9:43 PM
Not sure I can remember any of the SM COs suffering legal consequences in the U.K. that materially affect them on any issue. Ministers like to peacock in public but it’s what they do and say in private that matters & as yr experience shows X in this case are laughing at our “laws”.
November 7, 2025 at 9:40 PM
I agree in principle but as we’ve seen with the environmental regulations ministerial direction (both explicit and less so!) is critical in directing action. As is resource allocation of course!
