With road surface temperatures dropping below 0°C tonight and in the early hours of the morning, Devon’s gritters will be out treating the network. Please give yourself extra time if out and about drive carefully and remember that ice can still form on treated surfaces.

Good to see the other new Belisha beacon and pole being installed on the Sidmouth Temple Street Zebra Crossing. Just need the light shield fitted to the west side Belisha.

Have been out and about Sidmouth collecting discarded traffic management signs left by utilities and contractors creating a nuisance and hazard for pedestrians

Storm Bert which is going to see gusts of wind across Devon of 50/60mph however in coastal areas along the south coast these could reach 70mph which will lead to trees being uprooted and possible structural damage….. so batten down the hatches…..

Great to get out with the team this afternoon around the Sidford area delivering copies of ‘Hughes News’ It was also nice to meet and chat with local residents about local issues.
