there's not a single corner store in my neighborhood but there are lots of apartments that are in what used to be corner stores. They have these huge ground floor display windows that don't open. Seems suboptimal.

When we used to take the public bus across the causeway and traffic got too congested we would get off and walk the rest of the way. It was fine, there were enough other people walking

Like you can look at traffic death rates for other countries and we have a long way to improve. It’s almost all due to better traffic engineering and enforcement

It’s also a solved problem in traffic engineering but drivers freak out whenever we suggest anything tha changes the road unless it’s widening
