Usually yes. But as it happens, yesterday was snow and drizzle and it froze overnight, so sidewalks aren’t great.

But tomorrow it will warm up so it will be gone.

Snow is ok, ice not so much.

I’m not gonna tell you about my neighborhood. When they talk about 15-minute cities, they mean me.

I can walk to nearly everything. 3 big grocery stores, green grocers, book stores, flower stores, tons of restaurants.

The trade-off? It can be an expensive place to live. ##FreelanceFriends

Don’t know how you do it. I’d be outta there. Vagabonding if necessary.

I’m so far to the left of “libs”, I’m sure I’d be a Commie in their books.

Wonder how many lawyers focus their practice on health insurance claims? A lot, I’m guessing.

Back to year end. It’s also worth reviewing with your accountant how you’re paying your taxes to make sure you don’t run into any late payment penalties.

Well, you’re in farm country right? Your brilliant leader wants to put 100% tariff on Canadian potash.

So your farmers have a choice. Don’t plant this spring or hope they can sell the harvest at a much higher price.

The big brains are already writing about food scarcity and shortages of basics.

Jesus H. That is too much to live with. Just read about a bunch of Americans moving to Netherlands. Easier than Canada and other countries.

Many cited healthcare costs and “all that other stuff”… #FreelanceFriends

This leaves me breathless. I had some medical issues that under your system would have gone way into six figures.

I wasn’t even in my home province (healthcare is provincial up here).

Anyway, cost me about $1,600 out of pocket. Real costs, you could add a couple of 0’s. Thank you 🇨🇦.

A2: Another benefit of having an accountant. I kept a very minimal spreadsheet and all receipts in a shoebox. Handed it over.

He had a bookkeeper on staff to sort things out. Worked well. No sense me trying to do their job. #FreelanceFriends

#FreelanceFriends Some rich Roman guy. Wonder how long he had to enjoy it? Would have taken ages to build.

He probably wasn’t worried about his year-end taxes. More concerned about vandals and Visigoths attacking him. 🤷‍♂️

🇨🇦 perspective. U.S. importers pay them and pass them on to customers. That’s why your prices are going up.

Importers can try to get goods cheaper elsewhere. Sometimes it works, often it doesn’t.

Building domestic manufacturing? Takes years. Good luck.

Meanwhile Canada finds new trading partners.

#FreelanceFriends Don’t work in photography, but shoot as a hobby.

I know a lot of photographers are on the Squarespace platform because of ease of use, specific templates for displaying and selling, etc.

I assume WP will have the same but I see so many Squarespace affiliate messages on YouTube.

At least 1,000%. So true. Take the time.

This 👆 100%. Making friends with “assistants” is a good rule in many places.

My favorite is to have an “assistant” I can call in accounting. “Is our invoice in your system yet?” (Or has my client not passed it along?)
