I forgot I had this on my phone. Saw this one at the gas station that looks like the species i thought of. Was about 4 inches

It's been too long to remember, but I think the markings look close to argiope aurantia instead is what we had. Very interesting to see different species. Thanks for the insight.

Do you know what the spider is? It's been like 30 years but I remember a spider that looked very similar in my grandfather's garden. Was bout 8 inches wide sitting in his flowers.
