Thats kind of what I was hoping I could do, but for the purposes of interesting storytelling, I may mix up a lot of the ideas Ive been given and dole them out to the different tribes, so they have more flavour. But at least one might be like this

Hmmmmm actually that could be a good idea. If you ha e a supertech society that doesnt remember how it got there, theyd still figure there had to be ancestors they couldnt remember. If the average longevity of people was also a longer, how might that affect it. Alternatively....

The issue is; its like one of those Star Trek episodes where a computer runs a planet but the native people dont understand "computer". Is there an alternative to them worshipping Eyebee'Em, the great square speaking rock as a god? It just seems so cliche

Its that very last bit where Im like "Why gods and not anything else?" The Victorians thought the sun was made of coal simply because it burned, even though they knew of many other things. Still, someone explained its about cohesiveness of large social groups, which made a kind of sense.

The result of this question appears to be; religion is a default setting and I must include it. Im not sure if this informed my depression yesterday or made it worse today ha ha
