Unfortunately not, the map is static with some breakable walls in caves. The game is actually an adventure game inspired by the original Legend of Zelda! Thanks for the comment btw, I'm glad you like it!

Diagonal movement is not planned, since 4 directional movement has been there from the start, and I like the challenge and snappiness of it. I might seem weird, but once you get used to it, I think 4 directional movement is fine for this game.

Yeah, I chose those two sides because there's nothing there usually, maybe the text that says check can be longer and it may obstruct the stamina bar, but other than that, those sides of the screen are the most free ones.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from, but I think the player can get used to it especially no that the storms are periodic.
