THEY'VE PUT ME ON THE POCKETSTATION COOP. I'M BEING RENDERED IN A 32 BY 32 GRID OF MONOCHROME PIXELS. THE BOYS BACK AT QUANTICO SAID THEY'RE GOING TO RELOCATE ME TO A "DOKO DEMO ISSYO" UNTIL THEY CAN GET THIS STRAIGHTENED OUT.

I’ll say one thing good about the Geoff Awards: at least Hideo Kojima got shut out.

Tonight I decided to try and render an image of the first sleep paralysis event I had, way back when I was very small. My art chops aren’t there yet, but…it’s something.

There might be an atmospheric river outside, but that's not going to stop us from Obscuring our Clairs in around 15 minutes.

I talked about the infection of cozy in the context of TTRPGs on a TikTok, wherein the expectation of a singular affective mode (comfy/cozy/nice) hamstrings story efforts. But the thing is—it’s not just a problem in TTRPGs. It’s a larger problem. But talking about it incurs social risk. 1/?

I liked Henri Rousseau’s paintings but a new major exhibition shows they absolutely rip. The lines vibrate and the ‘normie’ ones are deeply weird! His life and times at @flaminghydra.com

"Polarisation" has become one of those terms commonly used to discuss the dire state of politics and democracy today

Here @juanroch.bsky.social, @daniel-balinhas.bsky.social and I argue that this simplistic framing is counterproductive

Big same. It’s just so tiring.
the fact that people who aren't poly constantly feel like they can trivialize and make fun of the way i live and fall in love as if they understand it at all based on internet posts has really been fucking getting to me not gonna lie

Me: I’m gonna make co-working stream music! A lot of it! Let’s sit down and work on it!

Me after five hours of battling for each measure, feeling intense feelings: oh I’m making a music journaling piece that is reclaiming my own shit. Well. 2 birds, I guess.

When students get to college they generally don’t know what college is and that’s an incredible pedagogical opportunity. My freshman comp class did Morrison, Pope, Dickinson, Shakespeare, and Johnny Cash all swirled together in a frenzy of discovery. Education is what we make it.

So one thing I’ve learned is that so many of those label bot nets are…laughably imprecise. One of the most anti-colonial folks I know on here? Labeled as MAGA. Fascinating. This is weird.

Put the physiognomy/phrenology back. Just put it back. It was never real, never legitimate, and is just a justification for horror. Throw it in the dumpster where it belongs.

I thought I would be free of Jason Stanley. Alas. I will never be free of hearing about Jason Stanley.
Jason Stanley isn’t afraid to use the F-word when talking about President Donald Trump.

The author of How Fascism Works and Erasing History: How Fascists Rewrite the Past to Control the Future is clear: He believes the US is currently under an authoritarian regime led by a fascist leader.
I study fascism. I’ve already fled America.
On this week’s “More To The Story,” former Yale philosophy professor Jason Stanley explains his recent move to Canada and calls the Trump administration’s takeover of the US government a “coup.”

Just learned that I’m on a MAGA list here on BluSky? I’m…deeply deeply confused by this. So I guess in case it needs saying? The entire alt-right MAGA industrial political system is a bunch of fuckshit fascist nonsense that I’ve never supported. So. Hope that clears it up.

I think a lot about the story Carl Reiner told: he’d have been a sewing machine repairman if not for a free WPA drama class. That led to other theater work, to Sid Caesar, to Mel Brooks, and all the rest. All because of one free class paid for by a government that felt the arts were worth teaching.
you ever think about the works progress administration? I sure do. I wish that was a thing now. I would be so glad to contribute my labor to like. A random ass local bridge
