I loved that dog, it was hard explaining to a bunch of six year old why I started crying at my desk. I loved my dad, but he was 81, and his health was bad. I was happy he wasnt in pain anymore so....I really didnt cry. But my dog.... tears. Years ago when our first dog died, my dad cried then...

Awwww. I know its hard. This is my first year without my dad. And yes im equating the 2, because grief is grief no matter the shape, animal or human. And those souls we lost hold a place jn our heart.
