It seems that after a year of being plugged in the batteries in my UPS are still good for 4 hours powering a WiFi mesh node and Ethernet switch.There are 4 18650 cells inside so this comes up to approximately 1500 mAh per cell which is about 60% of their nominal 2600 mAh capacity.

Yeah. I turned this off and suddenly found an email from my DNS domain registrar that Google's "smart features" buried. I needed to pay to renew my domain. I temporarily lost control of one of my domains in the past thanks to this. I really have to get away from those bastards already.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

I occasionally check Google feeds on my phone for news, and noticed that almost half the links these days are Twitter links of some sort, instead of direct links to news sources. I wonder if Elmo made some kind of deal with Pichai. I may have to write it off if the links become even more common.
