The people of this country voted for Brexit, voted for massive economic impact, voted for billions of pounds lost in trade and tax receipts. And now they still expect that decision to have no impact on their personal lives or their finances.

It was unaffordable with a 20 billion deficit in the budget and many, many worthy things that needed urgent attention.
