Exactly. 8 wins given that they turned to a true freshman QB in Game 5, lost Reid & the left side of the OL for more than half the season, key injuries at times at DE, LB, & S. It’s a good year. The big change to me needs to be OL, and I don’t even think that’s as much an issue of personnel.

I’ve seen enough of Bell’s offense to know I won’t be pissed if he leaves. I certainly don’t want to go back to Frank Cignetti or Shawn Watson but I’d love to see something with an OL that can get a surge in the run. And maybe a bigger WR or two.

Yep. It’s a good season, esp if they win the bowl game. Re: ceiling, I think you’re right. Absent a huge donor influx (Indiana/SMU), Pitt’s best route to the playoff will be to win the ACC. And that’s not just on them. The ACC is fighting an uphill battle against the SEC/B10 for playoff spots.

Bostick just mentioned this on the radio. He and Bell are going to have to adjust and get routes going where he’s getting the throw out in a couple of seconds. Most of the time, he’s just not going to have the time to set up for more than that.
