Lightning Struijk?

The people who were wrong were the ones who said he was a moron and tactically clueless. Like that can apply to any PL manager, never mind the one who came up with the hybrid system which did to Palace what no other team has in an away game this season.

Absolutely! Saw "bench cam" for Liverpool game- DF almost no reaction after the goals - the fewer cognitive biases the better 😀. Obviously, don't agree or expect to, with all his decisions, but pretty clear he has a well thought out and effective way of working which is respected by players & peers.

Agree, includes some people on a certain statistics focused podcast who thought moron was an accurate description for him & seemingly couldn't at one stage be bothered to listen, in detail, to what he says. Some of the SM criticism was so OTT could not possibly have been in good faith.

Except they didn't " take control". We dominated pretty much all the 2nd half be4 & after subs, as Newsome opined on Radio Leeds.

Looks to me like the 3 will make us more solid in away games, but not necessarily the best option at home. Noticeable that a lot of the Farke hate ignores the subtleties and nuance of what has gone on and the detail of what he says (as you rightly point out).
December 15, 2025 at 8:50 PM
In the last two games we arguably played better with 4 at the back. Probably need both Nmecha & DCL fit to make the 3 work, and that has v rarely been the case. Bornauw return to fitness also relevant as back up for the 3. He's not wrong that we were better on most games apart from BHA & Forest.

Fwiw from what I've seen they were/are a little more cautious away than at home.
Plus Leeds were/are miles more attacking them in away games than when they were/are at home. With respect, dont think Farke has owt to learn off either me or you, so I'll end there.

If something is outstanding, unusual (for me) to use the adjective "poor" to describe something not quite as good. Burnley were much more cautious last year than us so im not sure i follow your logic. Anyway, I'm sure Farke is working hard on improving away performance like most PL managers.

👍 Got to say , doesn't seem too shabby a record to me. Think it would be fairer to point out how outstanding Burnley's record was.

Doesn't seem to be true.

Very likeable squad with seemingly no massive egos and none out of their depth imo. Pascal & Gruev underrated. Former a solid servant and the latter doing gr8 community work.

Wonder if these are the graphics with lines are used by VAR?
December 8, 2025 at 2:57 PM
Looks like scorer's left shoulder is ahead of the ball, hence offside and did so at the time. Would have been interesting to see a graphic with lines on - dont think you can rely on the grass cut line.

With 3 centre backs , I think Pascal was probably justified to focus on dealing with his man. Gabby is superb but seems to have 1 error in him every game.

Not sure Ben,but if Palmer scored that chance we might still have gone on to lose. For me, just pleased that we got some reward for being the better team again at home.

Hyundai Ionic Electric. So named due to very low coefficient of friction. I average 5.4 miles per kWh. A bit ugly perhaps, but v close to Tesla Model 3 in terms of efficiency. Range about 200 miles, which is enough 4 me

I had a vauxhall ampera (phev) , favourite car i ever owned. Took 9 months to source a replacement headlamp , so I got rid and got a wind knife instead.

Recommend thinking about keep savings for some rooftop solar ( maybe with battery storage) if property suitable , then get a second hand full electric in due course as they are getting cheap.

That's probably a tendency in everyone, but one we should all be aware of. I struggled with Marsch for various reasons mainly in relation to Marcelo. I like your basic principle of trying to back managers/ players while here, as long as giving their all.

Also doesn't really nullify my main pt about pre and half- time planning. There's a lot we don't & will never know about that. Brings uncertainty/ complexit to any post game analysis which maybe needs to be reflected in how firmly judgements are held/made. Wrt to pod, this all meant constructively.
