when they finally start dating, steve makes a tape for eddie with all the band’s dirtiest songs and eddie only listens to this for six months straight in the van.

the song tumbling dice becomes theirs, it’s flirty and messy and eddie insists it could have been written for a slutty version of steve while the dice metaphor obviously references eddie himself.

he laughs, he blushes, he pinches eddie whenever he kinda crosses the line of safe to be said in front of an audience. steve lives for it and glows for eddie’s attention.

he makes lyrics puns, dumb flirty joke, starts swaggering like mick jagger on stage, and turns the tongue logo into something even more obscene than it actually is. it makes everyone groan but steve absolutely loves it.

and eddie just knows this is the best news ever. he’s always liked the stones himself but finding out steve is this kind of guy makes him go feral. suddenly every other words out of eddie’s mouth is a rolling stones reference.
