Stolen World TTRPG

A TTRPG inspired by MMOs and Warhammer where psychic powers are free to manifest and manipulate the world and people around them, or what's left of it. Setting agnostic, present day post-apocalypse in mind.

Currently they're basically a 1:1 with fancier names. I haven't explored the space, and not sure if I particularly need to right yet (I'm only 1 session of playtest in for 2 groups).

My ethos right now is broadcast familiarity that rapidly changes game feel as time goes on. Plays more MMO/Diablo-y

The highest technology related to any class or capability is a deck of cards, but everything is functionally in the world and exists like the Orks from 40k function. Currently I'm writing a module for present time, but maybe when that's done I can do a fantasy version to see how adaptive it can be.

It's definitely been a struggle hoping what I make is something that can be considered just a game engine. The way you play, do combat, build your character, can be done in just about any setting you can think of... If you allow magic or psychic powers. D10 & D6 system should be adaptable.

Picked up a chose class... I'm writing this while half conscious in bed after a long brain taxing weekend.

It does mean writing a ton more to make a chart of possible results. I can't wait to get more playtesting done so I don't feel I need to vague post (as if I'm coveting the world's answers to ttrpg, lol). I just want to keep things mostly under wraps until I'm comfortable with a book I want eyes on.

Google Sheets doesn't have the ability to put an image in the background and have values over it, but Excel does, so I'll be making a downloadable version for character sheet exporting or reference for those who want to quickly run out a character.

I am... beyond jazzed how well this worked out.

Only need to add a few more for what skills you chose as you're building your character to be good at, a spot for adjustments made through other means, and then have that loop back in to, if possible, values over an image of the character sheet? I'll be investigating tomorrow. Today is turkey.

The idea is to use abilities that utilize forced movement, even 5ft at a time, to knock the skeleton out of the flesh and attack that instead. Otherwise it just takes damage to the pool of health the flesh has until that falls away.

The game is developed for clever bodies and combat communication.

A little rambly, but I think Hades coming out to distract the brain for a little while is probably good to not overthink things and come back a little fresh to the scene. If actual job goes smoothly enough tomorrow I should be able to finish another class to level 5 and retool the initial experience

One thing I have to really hammer home early is that I have an early game field leveler. Spell casters are a little outclassed by pure martial stuff, and I have a Stamina system that's meant to curtail excessive stat rolling. It might require a different initial stat roll I'll have to think on.
