Absolutely! I think there's an interesting distinction to draw between what we consider "objectively good" execution and authorial (or maybe directorial) intent. In this specific context, I don't believe that anything in TPM was made that way accidentally or unintentionally.

Maybe, but a lot of the negativity for TPM stems from bad-faith arguments and interpreting character pieces as real criticism. It's like saying Castlevania 2 is bad because AVGN said so. We can all learn to better separate "badly made" from "I didn't like" when approaching art. That's my intention!
