Absolute longest of shots but I was gifted this when I was in New York last year in Strand books and I loved the art so much I was afraid to open it.

Apparently, Jimmy shits can say he wants to do a Hunger Games but I can't say he should let us hunt him and other billionaires for sport. I fucking hate Billionaires and contextless rule enforcement. I disagree that I broke a rule considering I can't actually hunt a man that lives 1000 miles away.

I put the full Quote in the ALT but this #Superman moment from my childhood started a trope and I love it. #DCAU was a lot of my generation's entry point and this moment for me immortalised a part of Superman that is also important, he's the strongest hero. All I've outlined above only enhances it.

It's hard to mention my love for #Superman w/out mentioning @phillipkjohnson.bsky.social's run. For me this run so spectacularly emanated Superman to the core. Weakened but still ready to stand and fight for those who can't and I also love the concept of a Planet Hulk style Superman story.

Then there was #Superman Truth. An incredible Superman story which on the days of the bird app was recommended to me by many a #ComicSky user, and It's perfect. A powerless Superman shows what it means to be Superman. He may be weak but that doesn't mean he won't stand with us. That's Superman.

Then I saw this over of #Superman and it perfectly captures the character I love. He's not on the cover and yet he is in the effect he has on every single person depicted. There's happiness, warmth and pure wonder. And the crowning jewel? He's waving to them, because he's Superman.
