By my rough estimate, the #Rockies spent around $11 Million to bring in 4 free agents before spring training last offseason. This offseason so far, they have guaranteed $20.8M on 2 free agents. Not to mention whatever was spent on the FO & Coaching Staff

I can see Castro really getting a bulk of starts at 2B out of Spring Training should Ritter or Amador not make the spot their own. Same goes for 3B with Kyle Karros
#Rockies have reportedly signed Willi Castro to a two-year deal.
The Rox were looking for a versatile player and had been linked to Castro earlier this offseason. He can play all 3 OF spots and most of the infield. Wouldn't be surprised to see him pick up 1B too in Colorado like Orlando Arcia did.

Having to pay just $11 Million for Nolan Arenado and giving up an 8th round pick is a huge steal for Arizona. Sure Nolan isn't what he used to be, but he's a prime candidate to bounce back more this year while hitting in a very familiar location and division.

The last time I saw the #Rockies win in person was with my Mom & Dad in 2018 when DJ hit a walk-off HR against the Dbacks.
In the first game I attend since my Dad passed away in June, I got to witness a comeback victory w/ my Mom against the Dbacks.

Against all odds and perceptions, Jimmy Herget is doing excellent for the Rockies - Fans First Sports
There is likely some sort of number or statistic that is making Herget perform as the rate he currently is, but the beauty of baseball is that there doesn't have to be a definitive answer.
