Got woken up again by the neighbour’s child screaming its lungs out and banging every piece of furniture possible. The only way to let them know this is unacceptable is to play loud music on all home speakers. Only pettiness seems to have an effect.

Just had the worst gym session in ages. Had to drop the weight for each exercise and set; total volume was down 50%. And without the PT it’d have been worse. Body just didn’t my fancy it 😭

Has anyone ever done a comprehensive tax comparison between the UK and comparable markets?
I’m not just talking about income tax and NI (which tend to be lower), but also other taxes and payments that may be higher (eg council tax, private pension which are often not needed in other markets).

I’ve read lots and lots of good books but few actually made me laugh out loud. The Slough House series is one of those. The writing is spot on and Gary Oldman’s acting elevated it further.
