Have finally made it over here from Twitter.
You might have known me as StevieSun or HodgePodgeHenry.
I'm not sure I understand this properly. But still interesting

Listening to a bit of Tick Tick Boom and thinking about Andrew as Spiderman.

Do watch Andrew's Who Do You Think You Are. But keep tissues handy.
They tried to erase his family, but look. He's here. He's a superhero. A superhero created by someone else they tried to erase.

Happy Gotcha Day lad!
Two years now. In the last year you've learnt that people can be allowed in the house when they're invited (provided we remind you & give you bribes). Maybe in the next year you might learn a better recall & that bikes can be ignored.

Today's harvest.
Still getting a out this amount a couple of times a week. Probably not for much longer, but my fridge is full anyway.
It's appearing difficult to give away courgettes, cucumbers and beetroot

Having one of those "times really have changed" moments.

I believe my first visit to Fingle Bridge was in the mid 90s, I've been more regularly here since 2006.

I really don't remember families taking so much stuff on a picnic back in the 90s.

Seems a good year for tomatoes.

I was here for worship this morning.
Nothing formal. Lots of gratitude.

Last night I undertook my first solo wild camp.
Perhaps long overdue but now completed. I would like to thank the young people who camped on Brat Tor last night. Hearing you helped keep me company, and by the sounds of things I think you had a good time.

I am very proud of these tomato plants.

The difference of two days.
The photo on the right was taken on Friday and the one on the left was taken today. The first ox heart tomato of the season is distinctly beginning to be looking red.

We are inching toward the first ripe ox heart tomato in the greenhouse.
I predict this will weight about a pound when harvested, or in other words - as much as a tin of tomatoes in a single fruit.

I don't know whose post I saw here recommending this book, but thank you.
If you're not familiar with it, do give it a read. Don't look anything up about it first, just read it without spoilers of any kind.

My tiny, dinosaur obsessed godson comes to church and asks me to draw dinosaurs for him.
He has cards with pictures on but wanted them big. My effort isn't great but I'm way out of practice.
He was thrilled.

This dog.
He loves to cuddle.
How can I do anything else but stay here?

I open the Every Day Faith app and think "oh, I know that place - it's Brentor!"

I really must get there for a sunrise one day.
Can't be many churches build within an iron age hillfort?

This book was such a sucker punch to the gut. The film trailer has a bit of a spoiler, but it didn't really prepare me.
I'd made presumptions about where the story was going and I was wrong.
Rather brilliant, a little bit old school, and I shall be thinking about it for some time to come.

My maths might be off, but I don't think this special offer is quite right.

It was a snack on fruit whilst working the allotment type trip this evening.

I'm just finishing up Fahrenheit 451. I'm not sure why I hadn't read this before. Prophetic, considered, not as bold as Parable of the Sower but still worth a read if you value imagination, knowledge and the arts.

I was away over the weekend. My dog is wanting lots of cuddles and attention.

Also, he hates having his photo taken.
June 23, 2025 at 6:13 PM
"not guilty" says my dog. He's probably biased though.
June 14, 2025 at 10:38 AM
Well got called out on some of my BS, and I think that's healthy.
I wish I could make some certain people this book, but they're not ready.

Does the layer of dust tell you everything?
I took part in the Cranmer awards in 1997 & we all got a copy. I was never taught how to use it.

I have been reminded that when you live near Dartmoor you can start to take the views are granted.
Still, the dog is worn out and napping well now.
