They use self reported numbers as one of the tools in compiling unemployment numbers. They also use a variety of other, independent mechanisms. With Waymo, there's only one source of self reported data.

But you're not arguing in good faith here, so there's no point to this.

Unemployment numbers are a fantastic example. www.bls.gov/cps/cps_htgm...

They depend on a variety of data gathering methods AND we have private sources we can use to compare.

If we had this kind of thing for self driving cars... we would know if they're safer. We don't. So we don't know.
