We live in the Dunning-Krugerest of times.
Mostly I like nerdy techie stuff. My fridge tells me when I forget to close the door, and frankly, it's way nicer about it than my wife is. But yeah, enough is enough. I don't need a dishwasher with 11 digitally controlled cycles.

That is exactly how Christianity works.
If you do whatever the king's service demands, not only will God completely exonerate you of any wrongdoing, you'll also spend eternity in paradise.

Yeah. Should have said senior enlisted and up.

As Carlin said, "it's one big club, and you ain't in it."

Always seemed a little weird to me for a guy that white to be singing those lyrics.

Yes. This is the big catch 22 with the whole illegal order thing. The soldier with his finger on the trigger is not really in a position to make that decision.
Refusing illegal orders is something that should be squarely on the shoulders of senior enlisted.

The creators whose work is used without compensation or credit don't get to choose.

Because that's how hush money works.

Seems like every sex scandal involves a misshapen member.

I am very grateful to have been gifted with a normal one.

If just one of those guys had said something as simple as, "Sir, that was out of line."

When I succeed you, as the Grand Exalted Poobah of the World, I will eliminate the need for hold music by requiring call centers to hire enough people to answer the phone.

Starting to feel like there should be a mandatory retirement age of like 68 for absolutely everybody.

The marijuana arrests are not the only thing making us hate you.
But props for moving in the right direction.

There is no way he won the popular vote and all seven swing states.

That's how it's supposed to be, yes. Except it's not. In a construction defect case, the first jurors excused was anyone who knew anything about the construction trades.
If I'm a contractor being sued, there is no way I'm going to be judged fairly by people ignorant of business.
November 18, 2025 at 3:18 PM
It was never any of that .

By the time radio and TV were invented, the Fairness Doctrine was a law so powerful that it didn't need any real enforcement mechanism. No one dared to cross the path of the FCC.
That was true until Reagan.

Not many people know this, but the Fairness Doctrine first appears in the Magna Carta.
Thomas Payne wrote in a letter to the Danbury Broadcasters "the Fairness Doctrine in no way permits factual inaccuracies or political bias in any media."
